주께서 자신의 신부를 찾도록 우리를 보냈지만, 우리는 마음을 읽을 수 없기 때문에, 주께서 보시기에 합당하지 않아서 배척하시는 어떤 사람들을 모아 들였을 수도 있습니다. 이러한 생각은 우리로 하여금 모든 사람들에 대하여 매우 겸손하고, 관대하고 온유하며 주를 매우 신뢰하고, 사무엘이 다윗에게 기름 붓는 일과 관련하여 주를 바라보았던 것처럼, 우리도 그분의 종으로서의 우리 직분과 관련하여 그분의 인도하심을 바라보는 성품을 깊이 함양하게 해야 합니다.
